Artist Statement

My artwork is a dynamic performance, instead of a resting gallery installation. I create movement on canvas - the stage of my show - with paint brushes, sponge, wood stick, paper towel, my hands, water and paints. To experiment with the power and possibilities of light, I projected a collection of light videos on the paintings. Through this, I aim to reveal that a painting is kinetic, changing and unpredictable, like a dance, a live show. It communicates with the audience in an interactive and intimate way.
